What is a hard lens?
A lens made of an oxygen-permeable acrylic compound with a diameter smaller than the cornea.
It moves with blinking so tears circulate well and the eye does not dry; it is a suitable lens when dry eye is present.
Correction is also excellent in high astigmatism, and unlike soft lenses a hard lens must match each person's ocular shape, so it should be purchased after accurate testing.
