Secondary intraocular lens fixation, epiretinal membrane surgery, removal of vitreous hemorrhage from diabetes, macular hole surgery, and retinal detachment surgery can all be done promptly in one stop.

Alcon Constellation®, preferred by retinal surgeons in the United States and worldwide, has been introduced.

When retinal disease develops and the vitreous that supports the retina and the eye wall separates from the retina, vitrectomy (removal of the vitreous) is performed. A needle-like small probe is used; 27-gauge vitrectomy, currently the smallest incision, is possible with Alcon Constellation®.

This equipment can adjust vitrectomy cut rate from 100–7,500 cpm, which can raise surgical success and lower complication rates through safe retinal surgery. The same function can also treat vitreous problems that can occur as a complication of cataract surgery immediately.
